Mission and History

The mission of the Panama City Beach Library Foundation is to support the Panama City Beach Library and to help donors achieve their charitable goals.

Incorporated in 2010 as a 501(c)(3) organization, the Panama City Beach Library Foundation was founded by a group of dedicated volunteers that believed a quality community deserved a quality public library. Furthermore, the founders’ vision focused on the Panama City Beach Library as a community gathering place for all ages of residents and visitors. The gathering place provides access to information, a variety of programs and classes, and serves as a gateway to the arts.

Since its inception, the Board of Directors of the Foundation has served as advocates, friend raisers and fundraisers for the Panama City Beach Library. A major focus has been the distribution of funds to support the library on an annual basis and the creation of an endowment program that will provide long-term funding for the library.
